The Raconteur… the storyteller, the narrator, the chronicler, the observer.

Every one of them has two lives:

The one they show, and the one they write from.

Most people never learn how to move between them. They’re loud when the story needs quiet, clever when the story needs truth, structured when the story wants instinct. They imitate and decorate, but they forget how to tell.

The Raconteur is the place where you remember.

The question I'm asked the most is 'how can I write/create like you?' But what should be asked is, 'how do I write/create more like myself?'.

You’re not here to learn formulas, perform “craft” or to try and sound like anyone who came before you. You’re here to enter the room where stories actually begin — with attention, instinct, and a single detail that refuses to leave you alone.

You know there’s a difference between having something to say and knowing how to say it so people actually feel it.

The Raconteur is where we work on that: how storytellers see, how they listen, how they choose what matters, how they build from the inside out.

WHY I MADE THIS

For more than 15 years, I’ve worked across film, television, and visual storytelling — shaping narratives on both sides of the camera. I learned early that technique alone doesn’t save a story. Seeing does. Listening does. Knowing what to keep and what to cut does.

That’s the work we do here.

Because I was tired of watching good writers sound like everyone else, and smart people talk themselves out of being storytellers.

Because “story” got turned into a marketing word, and I wanted a place where it could go back to being what it actually is: a way of saying the truth, cleanly, in a form someone else can hold.
